Barakamon Prequel Manga “Handa-kun” Gets TV Anime

Handa-kun manga by the author Satsuki Yoshino gets a TV anime adaptation according to the announced posted on Square Enix’s Gangan Online official website. The manga is a spinoff series of Yoshino’s Barakamon manga which was adapted into an anime series in 2014.
Yen Press describes Handa-kun story as follows:
Handsome teenage calligrapher Sei Handa is worshipped by all his classmates as an aloof superstar--too bad Sei's inherent negativity makes him believe that everyone actually hates him...?! A youthful comedy of misunderstanding and melancholy unfolds in the first volume of this hilarious prequel to Barakamon!
Barakamon on the other hand is a slice-of-life comedy manga by Satsuki Yoshino that launched in Square Enix’s Gangan Online magazine in 2009. The manga follows the calligrapher Seishuu Handa after he moves to an island on the westernmost edge of Japan, and learns to live a rural life that he hasn't ever experienced before.
In July of 2014, a 12-episode TV anime series titled Barakamon premiered and it was then streamed in Crunchyroll and Funimation. The latter acquired the rights for the home video release of the series.
Barakamon anime series has been a great ride of fun and for fans who enjoyed it, Handa-kun TV anime is another exciting adventure you shouldn’t miss to witness.
